"The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease."

~ Thomas Edison

Dr. Cindy Abashkin, DC

Dr. Abashkin felt her calling towards medicine in early grade school.  While attending Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, she decided to pursue her pre-medical studies in Biology.  During her undergraduate studies, she volunteered and interned at various hospitals, learning and finding her fit in the medical profession.  Eventually, Dr. Abashkin’s passion for health and natural healing directed her toward Chiropractic.

After attending Bridgeport University, College of Chiropractic for her first two years of post graduate studies she completed her last two years at Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California where she graduated with a doctor of Chiropractic Degree.  While attending Palmer, Dr. Abashkin was a member of the Student American Chiropractic Association (SACA) Sports Council  which provided  a valuable, hand-on experience in Sports Chiropractic.

Dr. Abashkin was fortunate to have had the experience of  traveling abroad to complete a short-term clinical education opportunity while in her final year of school. She traveled to Madagascar with a team of faculty, field doctors, and students from all three Palmer campuses to provide chiropractic care to populations underserved in terms of healthcare options.  While using different spinal manipulation techniques to meet the special needs of each individual case Dr. Abashkin was able to treat accordingly. The population varied and  many of the diseases were rarely seen in the United States.

Through personal interest and years training, Dr. Abashkin has become an expert on the health of the modern lifestyle as well as benefits of natural living
